I talked to froggysfog. The laser they sell is a blue laser. It has a 120 degree spread and oscillates. They recommend placement of one laser per every 6 foot of wall length. All you have to add is fog and you are good to replicate the hive visual effect.

I am going to try and give them a call this week and see what I can come up with. But they do sell blue lasers which are a key component for the laster field effect.

To keep up with my craft I am running a 7days to die linux server in the house.

Doable since I finally have fiber optic internet.

It is built mainly for crossplay so it is a vanilla no mods server running Pregen08k01 map.
