Agreed; I think that ep5 could have been a more fleshed-out 1 1/2 - 2hr movie, ending with the Maginot landing [lets face it, it wasn't a real crash, it was more bad parking] on Earth, and roll end credits, series done.

Crew might have been annoyingly dumb / strangely wooden, but all that doesn't matter in light of how beautiful the ship interior /set-dressing was!

The finale was a little "meh" but overall I liked the series. It's a fitting expansion of the existing lore without going complete revisionist history (yeah, looking at you Alien Covenant).

It was nice to see the classic Pulse Rifle making an appearance and the interesting variants.

Now imagine in 1986 if the xeno's had been the one-bug army like the one in the series. Cameron's movie would have ended in 15 minutes! :D
