Scratchbuilt smart gun

This is a repost from the old forum on a topic that I didn't want to lose.
Earlier this year I commited to scratch building an M56 smart gun based on a 3d printed replica that I have but regard as too fragile in certain place.
The materials I used were:
Lots of plastic plumbing pipe of various diameters.
Plasticard of various thicknesses.
Balsawood.
Numerous screws of various sizes.
3 motorcycle grips and a clutch handle.
RAndom odds and ends for details.
To satrt with I made a core for the gun from pipe that everything else could be built around. This pipe is strong but light. I also made the flash hider fromsome wider pipe and thin plasticard wrapped around it. Narrow bits of ribbon cable were used for the ribbing
